Moments That Matter

SEPTEMBER 2026 — Why I Show Up!

Our 5th graders shared why coming to school matters to them as part of our first-quarter Attendance Challenge. Their responses now fill the school bulletin board and remind us that every day at school is another opportunity to learn, grow and succeed.

Our Founder

Meet the Founder

Charles Moynihan-Coloma
Founder, Grabbing for Grades

As a North Las Vegas parent of two school-aged sons, Charles understands how much encouragement and recognition can mean to a child.

Grabbing for Grades grew from a simple idea:

when students know their effort is noticed, success becomes something worth celebrating.

What began as a way to recognize academic achievement has grown into a community-supported program that celebrates students for showing up, working hard, and reaching their goals.

Through Grabbing for Grades, Charles hopes to bring schools, families, and local businesses together to create positive experiences that students will remember—and to remind them that their effort matters.
